As someone that loves dessert, I always am trying to find new places in Boston to cater to my sweet tooth. The profiteroles at Brasserie Jo are top notch and keep me coming back.

a great hotel- bistro. Open nice and early. Kind to the kiddies, especially during lunch (they sometimes dole out rubber duckies) but no changing tables. (!)

I went here for Restaurant Week and had some pretty good food. The dessert and cocktails were the best part of it. Peach tart with buttermilk ice cream, yum! It wasn't too sweet and the peaches still had a little toothiness to them, which is perfect in my book. I don't like soggy, overly sweet desserts.
The appetizer wasn't as good. I got the salmon tartare, which had some sort of seed mixed in (looked like mustard seeds but didn't really taste like anything.) This gave it an odd texture. It was served over cucumbers which, oddly enough, overpowered the dish. I couldn't taste the salmon.
Lamb was the main course, served with fingerling potatoes and perfectly cooked beans. I enjoyed this very much, but even so the best part was still the dessert.
The service as extremely attentive. I came alone and it didn't feel so much like I was by myself, as the wait staff were constantly fussing over me.
